What additional costs are associated with trolleys, brackets, trays etc.?
Each department is surveyed prior to installation to confirm the best solution of point-of-care accessories to ensure safe and immediate disposal of the waste. The system is set up to provide safe point of care disposal and the accessories are included within the contract. Following the installation of the system, each department manager is involved with the selection of accessories and formally approves the requirements. For one month following installation, optimisation of the containers and supporting accessories is performed to ensure the most efficient and safe solution is available. Once the installation is complete and optimisation performed, additional accessories can be purchased or rented for special purposes which are outside of the original scope. The design of the accessories are not just provided to house a sharps containers, they are specifically developed to promote ANTT procedures, point of care waste disposal (using specifically designed bag holders on carts) and provide additional benefits over any single use system. We do not charge for the locating of new containers in line with the original contract specifications.
