Sharpsmart adopts a responsible, values‑led approach to supply chain management that integrates strong governance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability considerations. Suppliers are expected to operate in accordance with relevant legislation and to hold appropriate licences, permits, and standards, supporting safe, ethical, and reliable service delivery. Ongoing oversight and accountability processes help manage risk and maintain performance, while collaboration with suppliers promotes environmentally responsible practices, improved transparency, and continuous improvement, including efforts to understand and reduce carbon impacts across the supply chain.


Sharpsmart Supplier Code of Conduct

Purpose and Scope

Sharpsmart is committed to operating responsibly, ethically and sustainably across our supply chain. This Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the minimum standards we expect of all suppliers who provide goods or services to Sharpsmart.

 

Ethical Business Conduct

Suppliers must conduct business with integrity and transparency, complying with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. This includes:

  • Zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, fraud or improper business practices
  • Accurate record keeping and honest communication
  • Avoidance and disclosure of actual or potential conflicts of interest

 

Human Rights and Modern Slavery

Sharpsmart operates a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers must:

  • Prohibit forced, bonded, compulsory or involuntary labour
  • Ensure workers are employed freely and treated with dignity and respect
  • Comply with all applicable wages, working hours and employment laws
  • Demonstrate due diligence to identify and address risks of modern slavery within their own supply chains
  • Immediately notify Sharpsmart of any suspected or actual modern slavery risks

Sharpsmart reserves the right to suspend or terminate relationships where unacceptable risks are identified.

 

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment and must:

  • Identify, assess and control occupational health and safety risks
  • Provide appropriate training, supervision and PPE
  • Report incidents, hazards and near misses promptly

Where relevant, Suppliers must align with Sharpsmart’s safety‑first culture and operational health and safety requirements.

 

Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

Sharpsmart places sustainability at the core of its operations and supply chain. Suppliers are expected to:

  • Comply with environmental laws, permits and standards
  • Minimise waste, pollution, emissions and resource use
  • Support circular economy principles and responsible sourcing
  • Work with Sharpsmart to reduce supply‑chain carbon impacts

Suppliers are encouraged to measure emissions, improve environmental performance and support Sharpsmart’s net zero target.

 

Community and Social Value

Sharpsmart seeks to create positive social value in the communities where we operate. Suppliers are encouraged to:

  • Act as responsible corporate citizens
  • Support equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Contribute positively to local communities where possible

 

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Suppliers must deliver products and services that meet agreed specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements. Sharpsmart values innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement and encourages suppliers to identify opportunities that enhance safety, sustainability and service excellence.

 

Transparency, Monitoring & Compliance

Suppliers must:

  • Provide information reasonably requested to demonstrate compliance with this Code
  • Allow proportionate, risk‑based audits or assessments
  • Promptly report any breach of this Code or applicable law

We believe responsible suppliers are essential to delivering safe, ethical and sustainable healthcare solutions, and we expect all suppliers to uphold these standards and work collaboratively with us to manage risk, drive continuous improvement and create positive environmental and social outcomes. Where these expectations are not met, Sharpsmart will take appropriate corrective action, which may include suspension or termination of the business relationship.
