Successful healthcare waste management is a shared responsibility.

Sharpsmart’s Contract Manager, field service, and operations teams are responsible for delivering the agreed service, monitoring performance, and supporting improvement activities. Healthcare workers also play an important role, particularly where outcomes depend on correct segregation, local processes, staff engagement or access to clinical areas.

Clear responsibilities should therefore be established at the start of the service, supported by agreed KPIs, reporting and regular reviews.
