Can I reopen a locked Sharpsmart collector?

No. Once the sharps disposal container has been securely locked with both side locks engaged, the container must be returned to a Sharpsmart processing facility. Reusable sharps containers shall not be opened, emptied, or cleaned manually or in any other manner which would expose employees to the risk of subcutaneous injury.
